A study reveals the only food that can increase the risk of developing cancer. We consume it daily, it is part of all our meals, prepared desserts, smoothies or savory dishes… Namely, animal milk is the main cause of breast cancer in the Western world. According to the results of a recent study cow’s milk, or any non-human animal, is one of the main causes for breast cancer. While it is necessary to have a certain genetic predisposition for the disease, research “accuse” milk as the cause of breast cancer. The risk depends on the frequency, quantity and quality of the milk itself. This article elaborates the study and the factors to consider.
MILK COULD BE THE MAIN CAUSE OF BREAST CANCER.
An investigation conducted by the University of Bergen, Norway, found a direct link between milk and the occurrence of lymphomas, more precisely breast lymphomas. As it could be seen, women who drank three or more glasses of milk a day had a 3.4 times greater risk of developing breast cancer. That made milk the leading cause of breast cancer.
The study followed the dairy consumption of 16,000 patients for a year and half. In turn, statistical research on animal milk consumption in the countries of the world and cancer were made. Thus, it could be determined that the highest incidence of breast cancer is found in Finland, Sweden, Britain, Canada and the United States. Those are at the same time the countries with the highest level in milk consumption. In turn, breast cancer is virtually not present in societies where the animal milk is not consumed, especially in Eastern countries.
Probably not the milk itself is the cause of breast cancer, but rather all the ingredients with which it is enriched. It has been shown that growth hormone with which the animals are fed, are present in the milk. The same applies to the fattening additives.
On the other hand, Norwegian scientists showed that in the study was found that women who drank more than three glasses of milk a day consumed twice as synthetic vitamin D compared to other patients. Milks are “enriched” with this vitamin that the body is already able to produce when exposed to the sun.
Other factors that can cause breast cancer is the kind of diet that we perform, different from Eastern cultures. West abounds in sugar and refined flour, like overconsumption of meat and junk food; with a decreased intake of fruits and vegetables.
Also, other factors that increase the risk of cancer is wearing tight bras for more than 12 hours. If you take the bra off when you get home, you reduce the chances of breast cancer by 20%.
